Trampolines can be used for fun activities or health purposes. Lots of households these days have outdoor trampolines in their back garden for their children to play on. Many parents also use trampoline for losing weight and fitness regimes. Trampolines have been made since 1900′s. Normally circus performers used trampoline in those days. In 1936 it became a modern sport after being developed by George Nissen, the American gymnast.
People had their concerns in 1990′s about the number of accidents caused by trampolines. The casualty from trampolines were increasing. Since 2008 trampoline manufacturers have started attaching trampoline accessories with all trampolines, this has helped in decreasing the number of casualties through trampolines. And now that the safety elements has been fixed the sales of the trampolines have gone up. People are not worried about the accidents these days.
How to build a trampoline?
To build a trampoline you need four basic materials which are springs, tubing, safety pads and jumping mat. Tubing is used to build the legs and the frame of the trampoline. Springs are used to gain the bounce. The springs are made to the specification of the trampoline but by a spring supplier not by trampoline manufacturers. Polyethylene or nylonare artificial fibres used to build jumping mats, the fabrics of the mat is WV-protected to help it from fading. Safety pads are used to cover the frame and the springs of the trampolines. The safety pads are made of foam. Normally these safety pads are outsourced and built by different manufacturers.
For safety reasons these days most trampolines have safety nets. These safety equipments normally come with the trampolines when you purchase one, not sure about the nets but you can always purchase it separately. Normally in England 12ft trampolines are quite popular and it has been sold more than any other trampolines.
