One of the greatest experiences for family bonding is a camping trip. By leaving all the electronics at home for a few days, you and your family are forced to spend time getting to know one another once again.
There is a lot of work to be done to make your camping trip an enjoyable experience. If you do not have a camp stove, you may have to cook over a campfire. The results may be quite different than the microwave stuff you cook at home. Maybe you will discover you really like the taste of food that is cooked over a real fire. When you finish, you will be reminded that there is no dishwasher at your campsite, so you will have to wash all dishes that are not disposable by hand.
The good news is that without electronics, you will have lots of time that you can use for nature walks or to go to see the ranger’s nightly shows. Take time to view all the wildlife as well as flowers that bloom along the path. Even if the kids are too noisy and scare the animals away, take time to enjoy the beautiful plants and wild flowers you will see on those hikes. Be sure that you breathe in all the fresh air you can.
After the dishes have been put away, you can enjoy a family game night with s’mores for a late night treat.
If this sounds like a great time for you, then stop reading this article right now and go make your campsite reservations before they are all gone. Do not waste any more time.
Now for the rest of you. I am glad you stayed while we weeded those people out. If you have made it this far, here is great news. Do not leave the electronics at home. You need your stuff. Pay a little extra for a campsite with electrical hookups to keep everything charged. Check at the campsite to see if cable television is available and bring a small set. Insist that your sight have wifi available so that you can stay connected with the rest or the world.
Please keep the volume down, we do not want the first group of campers to have their ideal camping trip ruined.
